Spring in Kashmir…

Oh, what a sight! As the train chugs along amidst the mustard fields, the snow-capped mountains in the distance, basking in the golden light of spring only add to the beauty of the scene. It’s as if Kashmir is painting its own version of paradise right before my eyes! Thank you nature for creating such stunning vistas! 🌈

Kaman Post…

Kaman Post Uri is a border between India and Pakistan from the Uri side. It is located in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. The post is situated at an altitude of 8,000 feet above sea level and is surrounded by beautiful snow-capped mountains.

It’s interesting to note that Kaman Post Uri is one of the oldest trade routes between India and Pakistan. It was used to transport goods between the two nations before the partition. The post is also a popular tourist destination, with visitors coming to see the beautiful scenery and learn about the history of the area.

It’s also worth mentioning that Kaman Post Uri has had a significant military presence since the partition of India in 1947. The area has seen its share of conflicts and skirmishes over the years, with both India and Pakistan maintaining a strong military presence in the region. Despite the tensions, the post remains an important symbol of the friendship and cooperation that once existed between the two nations.

Visiting Kaman Post Uri can be an exciting and memorable experience. However, it’s important to keep in mind that the area is still heavily militarized and can be dangerous at times. If you do decide to visit, it’s best to abide by the procedure and avoid any areas that are restricted or off-limits. Additionally, be sure to bring appropriate clothing and gear for the high altitude and cold temperatures.

It is thrown open for the visitor by taking simple permission at army posts. So we decided to explore the same and add memories to our heart’s golden memory book. Sharing some clicked stuff here…

Khamoshi…

There is an all of a sudden silence.
Silence that speaks louder۔
Fluttering mystery, so beautiful between us …

Vanished…

I sat there waiting,
Still as could be.
Deafening my thoughts with the echo’s of a cavernous heart.
What wrench me apart is,
Hope was now vanished…

My First Umrah…

I always had a desire to visit the Masjid Al Haram like everyone. After many attempts I got a job in Saudi Arabia and I knew I was one step closer realizing that. Indeed Almighty Allah is the best of the planners.

As you enter the holy city of Makkah the first thing you look out for is the clock tower as it would be the first sign pointing to the Masjid Al Haram. This anticipation is beautiful and when you get a view of that you know you are just steps away from witnessing the most beautiful scene in the world.

Outside the Masjid Haram
We took a bath and wore our Ehraams.

The Almighty Allah has answered My prayers and I promptly made my way towards the Mataf. Lowering your gaze, taking gentle steps, heart pumping fast and body shivering as you are about to behold the site of Beautiful Kaba.

May Almighty Allah give everyone a chance to visit Kaba.

After performing the seven Tawafs and after finishing that, I prayed two Rak’ahs behind the Maqam of Ibrahim (as).

After the two Rak’ahs, We proceeded to drink from the sacred spring of Zam Zam and made our way to the Mas’a.

Alhamdulillah with Allah’s help we completed the Umrah and we made our way to barbers nearby to get our head shaved as shaving head is mandatory and symbolic to one’s sins being forgiven (only if Allah accepts).

May the Almighty Allah forgive all our sins as he is the most forgiving and loves forgiveness.

As I had booked a five day package to mecca and Madeena. My two colleagues and I intend to perform another Umrah and for that one has to select the nearest Mikat (boundary) to enter the State of Ihram. So we headed to Masjid Ayesha for that at 2 AM in the night.

This beautiful couple from Pakistan asked me to take a picture of them. May Almighty Allah accept their Umrah.

Alhamdulillah with the help of Almighty Allah we. Completed our 2nd Umrah. We went to our hotel and got ourselves changed.

After having a heavy meal we went to visit The Cave of Hira In Jabal Al Noor (The mountain of Light). This was the place where Prophet Muhammad is said to have been blessed with the first of his many revelations. Its significance in Islamic history, along with rising views of Makkah and the Holy Mosque from its summit, makes Jabal Al-Nour a renowned tourist spot among pilgrims worldwide.

This cave is most visited by the pilgrims during The Hajj, but during Umrah, travellers do not make the visit to the cave obligatory as it takes kit of effort. Followers of the Holy Prophet climb the rock to reach the cave on the top and seek blessings. May Almighty Allah accept ours.

Alhamdulillah with the help of Almighty Allah we had a Ziyarat of the Cave Hira. May Almighty Allah give everyone a toufeeq to visit this place.

On the same day, we went next to visit the Cave of Thawr (Jabl Al Saur ). Jabal al-Thawr (Arabic: جبل ثور) is the mountain containing the cave in which the Prophet (ﷺ) and Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) sought refuge for three days and nights from the Quraysh. Unlike the cave Hira , this is very hard to trek as it is very high in altitude and demands great physical strength.

As a place of religious importance, the Cave of Thawr is visited by several people of Islamic faith round the year and seek blessings.

Alhamdulillah with the help of Almighty we had a Ziyarat of the cave Thawr.

On day 4 in the evening we left for Madeena. And it took us 9 hours to reach Madeena via bus service. On the way we had the Ziyarat of Masjid Kuba and Jabl Al uhud. (Uhud Mountain). It was the site of the second battle between Muslim and unbelievers.

After having the Ziyarat of some holy places we headed straight to Al-Masjid al-Nabawī(اَلْمَسْجِد اَلنَّبَوِي). The calm and peaceful environment given the feeling of purity and salam. There was a huge crowd of pilgrims to visit the Holy Rawdah. I was doubtful about where I was able to do or not due to the heavy rush. But Almighty Allah had planned it for us . I cannot describe the feeling in words when you get a glimpse of the Green dome.

It was my happiest moment to offer namaz and Dua’as in the the riyad ul jannah the small place between the mimber of Muhammed(s.a.w) and the tomb. Then visited Rawdah Alhamdulillah, I got real opportunity to visit roudha shareef and say salam to our beloved prophet Muhammaed rasulullahi sallallahu alaihi va sallam and Abubaker (RA) and Umer (RA).

Exit gate from Rawdah.
The view will give you goosebumps and goosebumps only…

May Allah invite us to His house time and time again. Ameen…

Zaina Lank- A forgotten Island…

Zaina Lank is not so very famous heritage site which was built by King Zain ul Abideen Budshah, 14th-century ruler of Kashmir. It is basically an island in the middle of Wular Lake in Bandipora district.

The King had constructed a mosque and a temple on the island, that are now in shambles and are craving for serious attention of both Government.

This site holds a significant historical and cultural importance for Kashmir, but the present picture of it will leave you heartbroken. A place which once was full of water all around now has turned into a grazing spot for sheep and cattle.

It is also been said about this place that, during the 2014 floods in Kashmir, water level was rising in the Wular the island remains afloat as water does not enter inside the island.

I along with my friend Safwan Rather visited this place on 21 Feb 2022 in great enthusiasm and after witnessing the appalling condition of this lake we were discomfited. The island which once was surrounded by the fresh water of Wular lake is now surrounded by muddy waters, polythene bags, animal carcasses and other littered material.

A request to the District commissioner Bandipora and UT administration to come forward and save this historical heritage Of Kashmir.

Into the world of wonder and beauty…

Wulur Lake…

You may have had about this gigantic and beautiful lake or may have read in books. If not I will give a bit intro about this huge lake.

Wular Lake is located in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir, about 50 km northwest from Srinagar city. Wular Lake in Kashmir is the largest freshwater lake in India”. The lake controls the flow of the Jhelum River, which traverses it. The town of Sopore is on the southwest shore of the lake, and an island to the northeast contains 15th-century ruins. If you ever come to Kashmir and i would highly recommend this place as it is very beautiful and serene. You can also enjoy the viewpoint of the shrine of Baba Shukur-ud-din is located on a hillock near Watlab.

Sharing some clicked stuff, of my recent outing to Wulur Vintage park which is located 17 kilometres before the District Bandipora on the Srinagar- Bandipora road. Perhaps the best place to enjoy the breathtaking view of the wular lake and the sunset. Come and do give a visit to this place. You won’t regret…

Winter Wonderland…

Snowfall in Kashmir is always a sight to behold and even a short spell of it turns Kashmir into a winter wonderland. But harsh winters in Kashmir make some places like Sonamarg completely inaccessible in January and February. So a winter trip to that place is almost impossible. To have the feeling of being in Sonamarg you can visit the Gagangir village. A village which is situated very close to Sonamarg and wrapped with snow-capped mountains from all sides.

So what are you waiting for, Pack your stuff and give a vist to this place as it is high time to do that.

I am uploading some clicked stuff of Yesterday and believe me you won’t regret visiting this place…

❤️❤️❤️
